The Spiderweb Spell (Binding Spell)
For here is a spell that shall cause mischief to befall another, and well may he rue the day that he crossed your path with ill intent.
Gather now from all corners of your chamber, all the cobwebs that you can muster and place them in a pile upon a black cloth which you have brought for this purpose. Take then a dead fly or some other loathsome insect and place it within the very center of the entangled webs. And now write the name of your enemy together with these words upon a parchment:
North, South, East, West
Spider's web shall bind him best
East, West, North, South
Trap his limbs and bond his mouth
Seal his eyes and choke his breath
And make him fear he's bound for death.
Now take this parchment forthwith and fold it four times, then wrap it together with the dead insect and the cobwebs in the black cloth, making them into a small black bag. Bind this bag with a cord and hang it from the ceiling of your chamber. Do not disturb it for some days, for then a thick coat of dust will form upon it. When it is covered with a coat of dust in this way, take the bag down from the ceiling and bury it within the earth. Then it may work its binding effect upon your enemy forever..... until you have cause to remove it from the earth.
